Simply Healthy Fair Website Online!
It is a rainy day here in Bloomington. We are very fortunate to have such abundance when so many in the world do not have access to clean water and in many places, even in some of our own communities, their is pressure from corporations to privatize water. In many communities around the globe, privatization has dealt a sad blow to the people, and a great financial boon to the corporations. Water privatization is seen as a global threat. In October the Center for Sustainable Living and WILF will host an event to discuss water. I will post more on that as the information comes my way. Green Dove Network will be updating their Water page which has information about local water and links to national and global water information. World Water Resources and Water News http://www.greendove.net/water.htm
This is Green Drinks Day and SIREN, a project of the Center for Sustainable Living (CSL) will be making a presentation. More is posted to the Local Food Bloomington Blog
Finally the Simply Healthy Fair website for the 4th Annual "Simply Healthy: Creating Sustainable Communities" Simply Living Fair and Wellness Expo of the Indiana Holistic Health Network is on line at http://www.simplyhealthyfair.net! You can also reach the site through the IHHN at http://www.indianaholistichealth.net/wellnessexpo.htm
Each year we become more excited as the event comes together. We have such abundance of resources available. All the ideas that become real as people come together to convene this event. As always, we are grateful to each and every person, business and organization that connects with Simply Healthy.
Here is a blurb about this years events. This is not complete information, and what you will find on the website will expand and change as details become firm.
We need your help, we want your support, we invite your participation as we explore ways to help ourselves to become healthier and sustainable through our lifestyle choices.

Integrative medicine: A good alternative in a bad economy
Janet Hafner, a 64-year-old diabetes patient, has been able to control her high cholesterol, so that she no longer needs to take diabetes medication. Anita Rudd has had just one cold this past year - and no visits to the doctors - which she attributes to a regimen of herbal remedies, including vitamin D and Turmeric. The cost? Just $80.
So does alternative medicine, or what in the industry is called "integrative medicine," work? Read the full story
